Title Sequences for Horror films

Title Sequences for Psychological Horror films. 

 

Here are some example title sequences that are included in various horror films, above is the screencap of the Seven title sequence, with it being a psychological horror film, the layout for the title panels are fairly dark themed, with low set colours and sharp and distorted text that really sets the tone of the film from the start. The idea that the title sequence adopts such an initally dark and deep theme is something to take note of, as it sets the audience up by giving them clues as to what style of film it is going to be as the sequence progresses. 

 

 This is another example of a horror title sequence, again there is the consistent use of these dark colours that really set the tone to the film before it has even properly started, these title sequences featured also have low deep music to accompany them, adding to the horror theme when it is paired with the images that are included in the sequence. Again in this title sequence we have the use of sharp text that stands out over the dark backgrounds in the panels and really contrasts well with the sequence overall.
